John Quinn, Sr.

John was born in Hartford, Connecticut, the second of four children. He has an older and younger brother, and a younger sister. He followed his older brother, Joe, to the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts, graduating In Cursu Honoris in 1976. Holy Cross has been special for the Quinn family with all of John's siblings graduating from the Cross.  Also, John's two children, John, Jr., and Jennie, likewise graduated from Holy Cross.  John married his college sweetheart and they live in West Hartford, Connecticut. In 1989, John was appointed by the local Superior Court Judges to serve the public and the legal community as the Grievance Counsel for the Judicial District of Hartford, Geographical Area 13 and the City of Hartford. He has been reappointed each year since 1989. In this capacity, he serves the Grievance Panel which is charged with the investigation of complaints involving attorneys whose primary offices are in the area. The panel's duty is to determine whether or not the attorney against whom a complaint has been filed has committed misconduct.
